Friday Night Live was New, Exciting and eXtreme with NEX! 30 for 30; thirty minutes of worship and thirty minutes of Word! Thank you Minister Travis Williams for your obedience and faithfulness to God as we prepare our next generation for kingdom business and the prerequisites that comes with receiving the baton. From the message entitled, CSI, What’s Needed From Nex, referencing 1 Samuel 16:11, Minister Travis shows us how our level of commitment, strength and ideas (CSI) will make us useful and an asset to the Church instead of a liability.
Being NEX is all about servitude. You’re signing up for work and serving! We learn from the scriptures that David was committed to keeping his father’s sheep and his work ethics became his reputation. Even though it seemed minimal, he was learning life lessons in his unseen commitment. David was also a strong man naturally and mentally. He used his physical strength to serve and protect his father’s house. He was using his strength when no one was looking and it wasn’t for applause or celebration. There’s things ahead of us that will require us to use our mental strength as well to keep it together and not fret. David’s also had ideas. His idea of using a staff, sling, a stone coupled with his Faith in God defeated an exceedingly great army. To God be the Glory!
These are the same qualities our Lord and Savior displayed and what we all need to portray if we’re claiming to be next. How committed are you when you think no one is watching and what’s your reputation without a title? How are you using your strength and what God ideas are you holding onto? So, ARE YOU NEX? Answer the call! #iGotNEX #tphimNEX #youngadults
