Bishop reminded us that Jesus is perfect without any flaws or sin nature and is the image of our perfect God. However, we also learned that man’s perfection doesn’t mean we are without error or flaws rather it references a person’s maturity as a believer. Flawlessness can never be attained in this life, only pursued through our relentless pursuit to grow into the image of Christ. So, what is Jesus talking about when He says, “Therefore be perfect as your father in heaven is perfect?” Bishop taught us that the context is forgiveness and Jesus was the ultimate Forgiver. God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. God’s forgiveness for us demands that we forgive anyone that asks us to. The grace given to us comes with forgiveness and unconditional love for people the way God loves us. Saints, though we are not perfect, without flaws or errors, we should always be on the pursuit to grow into the image of Christ! Thank you Lord for Your Grace and Mercy! #forgiveness #grace #mercy
