Are you waiting on something to happen? Waiting can be very frustrating and sometimes causes anxiety. This type of anxiousness and impatience can spill over into our spiritual lives. Bishop McLaughlin’s message, “Are You Waiting On Something To Happen” centered from John 5:3-8, reminds us that God is not in a hurry and everything we get from God requires some form of waiting.?
It appears that God has a plan and a purpose for making us wait. We think we know when we?re ready but only God knows when we?re ready to receive what He has for us. Some people have been waiting too long and think it’s too late. Could it be that our apparently dead situations are for us to see the glory of God? In the text from John 5:3-8, there is a man who is waiting on something to happen to get out of the situation that he?s in. Jesus asks him does he want to be healed and he doesn?t answer Jesus’ question, but makes an excuse for why he is not healed. Jesus then tells him to rise, take up his bed and walk and instantly he’s healed from the condition that had him paralyzed for thirty eight years!
There are many sick people who are hurting and waiting. They’re all waiting on something to happen but are not necessarily looking for Jesus to do it. Stop waiting on something to happen and start waiting on Jesus! #trustGod #WaitOnJesus #healing #tphimjax
