God is looking for a few good leaders! As we continue to glean from last week?s powerful messages about leadership and imitating Jesus, Bishop McLaughlin?s Wednesday Night Bible Study follows up with a question for current and future leaders entitled, ?Are You Qualified to Lead?? He referenced Joshua 1:2-3 which is a true testament that leadership has an expiration date, but we learn that God continues with His perfect Will regardless of the leader.
Moses was a great leader.?He was faithful for 40 years, leading a rebellious group through some of the toughest conditions known to man. Now Moses must transition, but before he dies he calls his top leaders together along with all of the Tribes, blesses them and announces the new leader Joshua, who served Moses faithfully to continue God?s Will. Bishop expounded on the fact that God always have future leaders in mind while others are leading. Bishop also taught us that leadership has an expiration date and current leaders will not be leaders forever. It is important for current leaders to be a good model for the future leaders to come. Great leaders should be a good follower, hard worker, loyal, enthusiastic all coupled with a good attitude. We are all under the auspice of someone else and they should see these characteristic traits in us. If you possess these traits then you are on the verge to becoming a leader. Are you qualified to lead??
