Many people have fallen away from God and have given up on trying something else simply because they couldn?t wait. Frustration takes over and we begin to believe that delayed blessings are denied blessings. Bishop McLaughlin deposited a message of hope and encouragement with the message entitled, “I Don’t Mind Waiting” with scripture focus from Daniel 10:18-19.
Daniel teaches us many lessons on waiting. In the text we learn Daniel was fearful, had no peace and was struggling then suddenly he heard a Word from heaven and was strengthened. When the message finally came to him he got his breakthrough and the Word gave him courage. In Daniel 6:6-9, Daniel was thrown in the den of lions for disobeying King Darius’ decree of petitioning other gods except him. However, Daniel didn’t let the devil?s threats stop him from doing what God requires of us. From this story we witness God’s deliverance of Daniel and His judgment on Daniel?s adversaries. He waited on God and He delivered him!
Bishop reminds us that whatever we have asked God for we must be willing to wait on it. Just because something hasn?t happened when we thought it was supposed to happened does not mean it is denied. Don?t quit, wait! Don?t throw in the towel, wait! Are you willing to wait?
