We live in a day and age where the truth is being distorted and our belief system is being tested. Ignorant and unstable people are twisting the scriptures and bringing confusion to the believers. False prophets are flooding social media and misinterpreting biblical truth and biblical history. Bishop McLaughlin gave the believers both a Word of encouragement and a stern warning with the message entitled, “It’s Still Jesus” referencing Col 2:6-12. This message was a reminder for us to keep maturing in the faith as we keep watch for hollow and deceptive philosophies.
Bishop expressed how our society is bent on deconstruction of authority and deconstruction of truth. The false narrative leads some to think there’s a greater truth than the the Word of God, which we know to be untrue. Even when there’s evidence to the contrary they believe their truth is right. Bishop encouraged us to become more theologically astute and discerning not allowing anyone to confuse us with nonsense that the Word of God is not enough. Beware of people who trust in reason over revelation. Bishop made special emphasis that the ultimate objective truth is the Word of God and Jesus is the Truth!
Saints, there’s some things that have radically changed our lives that we must hold on to. We must get the Word down in our spirit and place our hope in Jesus! He’s the Son of God, He’s Sufficient and Jesus alone is God! Bishop reminded the believers to always listen with the ears of the Spirit and remember, It’s Still Jesus! ?#Jesus #stillJesus #tphimjax
