This week has been very impactful and informative as we continue to learn how to effectively lead in any capacity of leadership. Friday Night’s message entitled, “Leaders Must Learn To Imitate Jesus” highlights the character traits of Jesus and provides powerful methods Jesus used to effectively lead the twelve disciples which eventually impacted the world.
So, how do we imitate Jesus? Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 11:1 tell us to “Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.”?Jesus left a set standard for us to emulate and doing the work of God comes with prerequisite. Bishop taught us that we must first be a believer, led by the Spirit, and totally committed to live by leadership standards. We must also be an acknowledged, submitted member of a church. Bishop expounded on the importance of honoring our commitments and being good stewards of our time, talents and resources. Great leaders also understand synergy and are team players.
Jesus was the Greatest Servant Leader! He came to teach, lead and train. How did He do this? He served. He served with humility and was obedient to God. Thank you Bishop for teaching us that the position we take on is an earned position, not a learned position! Saints, if we are going to lead, then we must imitate Jesus!
