A question sometimes pondered in the life of the believer is, does God save us and use us because we’re good or does he save us and use us because He’s God? Our Bishop captivated the hearer today with an opportune reminder that answers that very question, the title of which is “What Kind Of Issues Did Your Mama Have?” Joshua 2:1-7 framed the scene of the story of Rahab; the harlot. Our God is the God of an “expected end” so while we may start rough, as Rahab did, it is our finish that is most important. The Bible is replete with even more women (with issues & a past) like Rahab whom God used to get and bring glory. Jesus doesn’t have a problem using women with issues in ministry or women with issues being around him. All our mothers had or have issues but through it all, we’ve been molded into who we are today.
