Our Bishop returned from a fruitful trip to Africa yesterday as we wore Pink and Purple to raise awareness and take a stand against Breast Cancer and Domestic Violence. Bishop blessed the house with an amazing word, ?We?re Fighting On Hell?s Half Acre.? 1 Samuel 14:6-14 was the foundation to an amazing message on how we are to fight the battles we face that occur on the Devil?s Turf. Hell?s Half Acre refers to a treacherous, dangerous and difficult trek of land that people have to deal with in order to get from point A to Point B and are literal places today in Idaho, Wyoming, and Hawaii amongst others. Hell?s Half Acre is often a place we have to navigate to get to where we are going; the Devil?s place right in our path. It is the place of bitterness, rebellion, unforgiveness and more. However, we, the people of God must not be deceived; what things look like aren?t what they actually are. We have to keep in mind that the enemy can?t: control us, stop our dreams or keep us from prosperity. The first step in fighting the enemy is to fight the enemy in our own minds and the thoughts that suggest we can?t win! We have to fight the enemy on his turf and God?s terms! Life?s road is not easy but if we fear not, take the fight to the enemy, don?t fight alone, expect God to Fight for us and expect the win, we can most assuredly come out victorious even if we are fighting on Hell?s Hal Acre.
