God is moving and His presence is tangibly amongst us. The things that are happening now is a setup for God to reveal who His children are! Bishop Vaughn McLaughlin’s message entitled; “If You’ve Got Nex(t), Listen To Me,” using Psalm 78, is a caveat to the future generations to take seriously the instructions from their elders. Bishop mentioned that if we don?t train the generation that is amongst us with established morals, values, and concepts that have been passed down to us then we will forfeit our roles as mentors and we offer them as sacrifices on the altar.
This generation has something that the next two generations need. Things have been worse in generations past but nothing like what?s going on right now. Some of our young people seem to have fallen for the bait of Satan and have gotten so entangled in the world they can?t get out. Others have had the opportunity to get caught up in what the world was doing but instead held on to God and His promises. Bishop reminded us that Jesus has already defeated the devil and has given us authority over the devil and we have access to the authority of God. We have the name of Jesus! The enemy wants us to think that the darkness of youthful rebellion will prevail and we are going to have a next generation of children who does not know God. However, the next generation will know God and His mighty acts!
Bishop encouraged the next generation to not compromise personal holiness or turn from your righteous ways. Sanctify yourselves. Don?t be unequally yoked with unbelievers. Keep yourselves unspotted from the world. Be steadfast unmovable, always abounding! Finally, remember your creator in the days of your youth. If you’ve got nex(t), listen to me! #WillYouSayYes #NexGen #obeyGod
