The saints of God weathered the beginning stages of hurricane Irma to be fed a message of encouragement and hope in the midst of the storm.? Bishop McLaughlin, citing Psalms 90 and 91, reminded us that these passages of scripture focus on the very difficulties, obstacles, unfavorable conditions, and impending dangers that often confront the people of God.? Today, we find ourselves facing disease, terrorism, a broken political system & criminal activity like we?ve never seen before.? Although these things can?t be avoided, we as the children of God can indeed survive, endure and overcome these things. ? Even amid these trials, our showing up today demonstrates our confidence in God as the very shelter we need in a time of trouble.? We were admonished to not fall into a state of fear that immobilizes but to allow our concern to force us to mobilize and move through and past whatever comes our way!? We need only review all the names of God referenced in the text to help us stand on our faith in during any of life?s storms: The Most High, Almighty, Lord, Elohim, Elyon, El Shaddai, Yaweh.? These names remind us of just who is control; God!? So, in this storm and all storms, know that God is our refuge, our hope, our trust and our ?Shelter in The Time of The Storm?. #tphimjax #tphim #hurricaneirma #irma
